This year is starting with a HUGE BANG as our guest designer of the month is one of the most talented and involved people I know!
Meet Courtney Clart of Tinderbox!
Courtney is super dedicated to her work and she puts a lot of emphasis on well-fitting garments that are size-inclusive and completely wearable! I really do love everything she creates and her professionalism shows throughout her work and influence in the community.
Hi! My name is Courtney and I am a Canadian designer and the sole force behind Tinderbox! Tinderbox is a crochet designing and educating business focussed on creating size inclusive crochet wardrobe staples for every season and empowering makers to expand their skills to create well-fitting, comfortable slow fashion clothing.
For my whole life I have been a crafter and have dabbled in just about every craft there is – from cross-stitch to quilting, scrapbooking to macramé. But in 2009, I found my soul craft in crochet and have not looked back.
I began designing my own crocheted pieces in 2011, making countless hats, headbands and scarves for friends, family and coworkers. That naturally evolved into vending at craft shows across Canada. In 2016, I took the leap into pattern writing and garment designing and it was the best decision I’ve made yet!
I hope, through my passion for crochet, to continue to ignite confidence in all crocheters to make their own crocheted clothing to last a lifetime!
