âž¡ You are intimidated by the challenge of crocheting a whole garment.
➡ You are often unsatisfied by the fit of finished crochet garments and would like to modify a pattern to fit YOUR specific measurements but you don’t know where to start.
âž¡ You’re frustrated with the lack of resources available for creating top-notch, couture-quality garments.
It can feel like no matter how many stores you visit…
Or how many hours you spend browsing online…
You just can’t find exactly what you’re looking for.
Only to be left feeling disappointed with the final result.
Maybe the materials you chose don’t drape quite right…
Or the finishing touches aren’t quite as effective as you’d like.
Or the overall look and feel of the garment isn’t quite as high-end as you had hoped.
You start to doubt yourself because you feel like no matter how hard you try…
The handmade piece just doesn’t quite measure up to the high-end looks you see on the runway or in fashion magazines.
You feel discouraged and disappointed, and wonder whether you’ll ever be able to create a truly stunning piece of fashion that perfectly reflects your personality and style.
The truth is, creating high-quality, couture-level garments is not everyone’s cup of tea.
It takes years of practice, specialized skills and knowledge, and lots of trial and error in finding the best techniques.
Without expert guidance and instruction, it’s all too easy to make mistakes and end up with a finished product that falls short of your expectations.
With over 10 years of experience as a knitwear designer, I’ve spent countless hours perfecting my craft and exploring the world of knitting and crochet.
It all began as a hobby when I was a young girl in Mexico, learning from my mother and practicing my stitches until they were perfect.
As I grew older, my love for knitting and crochet followed me as I traveled the world, immersing myself in new cultures and exploring new yarn shops and markets wherever I went.
In 2016, I founded Nomad Stitches in Valencia, Spain, where I began designing and publishing patterns for crochet and knitting enthusiasts around the world.
Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to teach virtually and in-person at some of the most prestigious knitting and crochet events around the globe, from Vogue Knitting Live to the Barcelona Knits Festival and more.
Through it all, my passion for helping others unleash their creativity and achieve their dreams of creating stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces of fashion has only grown stronger…
And that’s exactly what I want to help you with.

YARN: Worsted weight yarn (size 4)
Approx 1015 (1130, 1240, 1395, 1525) (1710, 1860, 2060, 2190) m / 1110 (1235, 1355, 1525, 1670) (1870, 2035, 2250, 2395) yds for a cropped jacket.
Approx 1220 (1355, 1495, 1670, 1825) (2035, 2210, 2430, 2585) m / 1335 (1480, 1635, 1825, 1995) (2225, 2415, 2655, 2825) yds for a hip-length jacket.
HOOKS: 5 mm or size needed to meet gauge for the body, and 4.5 mm or half a size smaller for rsc st body edgings.
Note: The cuff edging was done with a 5 mm. I found that a bit of flare was welcome. However, the rsc edging around body and pocket edging looked better with tighter sts using a 4.5 mm. Feel free to adjust hook to taste.
NOTIONS: tapestry needle, scissors and 8 stitch markers (or 8 loose strands of yarn), other spare stationary markers, five to eight 1.5 – 2 cm / ½ – ¾ in buttons.
This is the yarn that I used for my samples:
Beige sample used Knit Picks, Swish Worsted (100% Fine Superwash Merino Wool; 50g / 110 yds) in color Horchata Heather
Striped sample used Sirdar, Country Classic Worsted (50% Merino Wool, 50% Acrylic; 100 g / 200 m (218 yds)) in colors Oyster (light pink), Toffee (brown), Moss (light green), Dusky Rose (pink), French Navy (blue), Ginger (orangy pink), and Golden (yellow).
Any worsted weight yarn will work, but here are some I recommend:
Lion Brand, Color Theory (100% Acrylic)
Lion Brand. Basic Stitch (100% Acrylic)
Knit Picks, Mighty Stitch Worsted (80% Acrylic 20% Superwash Wool)
Paintbox Yarns 100% Wool Worsted Superwash (100% Superwash Wool)
MillaMia Naturally Soft Aran (100% Merino Wool)
