We’re kicking off the summer with a very special guest designer — and this collaboration marks a first in many ways for Plyful!
Please join us in welcoming Andras, our first-ever male guest designer! 🎉 We’re thrilled to showcase his work, not just because he breaks new ground in our guest lineup, but because his designs speak for themselves: bold, thoughtful, and refreshingly modern.
Andras is an up-and-coming talent in the fiber world. He may not (yet!) have a massive following, but his creativity and vision absolutely deserve the spotlight — and we are HERE for it. At Plyful, we believe in lifting emerging voices and celebrating designers at every stage of their journey. Andras’s work is a perfect example of why that matters.
We can’t wait for you to experience his designs and see what makes his approach so special. We’ve got some exciting things coming your way this month!
My name is Gergő András, and I’m from Hungary, currently living in Budapest. I’m a 26-year-old man who tries to create his own designs. I have been crocheting since 2020 and have been trying to design my own garments since 2024.
My firsts experiences with crafting are from my childhood when my great-grandmother on an afternoon taught me how to knit. After that, I didn’t take it seriously, but she definitely planted the seeds in me. Many years later, when I was 19-20 years old, I picked it up again, along with crochet, but quickly moved on to just crocheting. I was looking for something very minimalistic and basic garments but at the same time with some shaping details and an overall style for males, but I wasn’t satisfied with most of the patterns I found, so I decided to make my own garments.
Originally I’m a sound engineer, and outside of crochet I have been skateboarding for 13 years, and I’m also a harmless music nerd, collecting vinyls and having fun with my great friends.
